Oh To Be A Queen in Victoria

Howdy Folks,

Made the crossing from Port Angeles to Victoria yesterday with no problems at the border - I have a history with those guys - all the lights go on when my passport is checked.

While I was waiting for the ferry I went into Landings Restaurant AND Dockside Lounge and lo and behold not only did they have Manny's on tap but the beer Zach had mentioned that I could not remember - Mac n Jacks - so naturally what was I supposed to do - drink mineral water at 11:00 AM!! Not that I tried either one of them but I heard others commenting that Manny's had a real nice hoppy beginning with a smooth, long slightly sweer finish and the Mac n Jack wheat was very refreshing and light but not enough lasting flavour.

Met up with my nephew Brett in Victoria at his boarding house and made arrangements to stay here for a while - one of the few places priceline can't reach!!

Brett and I walked into town last night and spent some time at the Swan Hotel AND Brew Pub - great band playing some strange cross between jazz, country and rockabilly - oh yeah it's rock!!
Had their IPA which was mighty fine - needs more hops for my taste.

Today Brett hits the books and I hit the streets - look out Victoria.

I notice I am putting on some weight folks - can't be helped - driving long distances will do that - I'll have to deal with it when I get back.
